I can't view e-mail graphics!:
If you can't view images in Chamber E-mail, then you must add the @sparkschamber.org domain to your safe-senders list. This is also known as a trusted source. There should also be a control option in your e-mail client that will allow you to display images.
Increased focus on security and privacy has led many common email clients to block HTML image loading. This now affects many of the biggest providers and the most popular software, including AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook 2003, and Thunderbird. Though HTML isn't always blocked or prevented from displaying, it can greatly affect how a message appears.
By turning images off, it can increase the speed of the e-mail (due to smaller sized messages) and protect your computer against malicious code. However domains added to your "safe-senders list" with be treated as safe sources and will allow you to view Chamber images and graphics.
How do I know if my HTML images are turned off?:
Most leave a blank space where an image would be. In Yahoo, the space is gray; Gmail displays a broken image icon. Some, such as Gmail and Thunderbird, will also display alternate text if it's provided. Others don't. AOL not only blocks image loading but also disables hypertext links.
I don't want to view HTML images!:
Please send a email to webmaster@sparkschamber.org if you wish to recieve "plain text" e-mail. In your message, simply let us know you do not prefer HTML images and we will add you to a standard text mailing list.
How do I turn HTML images on?:
Every e-mail client is different, and each would have a procedure for turning HTML images on and off. You may have to refer to the help section of the email client you are using or search on the internet for proper instructions on how to turn graphics on or off. If you continue to have trouble with your e-mail client or setting up your system for e-mail you are encouraged to contact your network administrator or your internet service provider for additional assistance.
I want to be removed from the mailing list:
We are sorry to hear you no longer want private invitations to events such as Ribbon Cutting ceremonies, Open Houses, and Membership Mixers. If you wish to be removed from the mailing list send a email to: info@sparkschamber.org with the Subject Line: Remove me. Your account will be updated within 48 hours and you will no longer recieve messages from the Sparks Chamber mailing list.
Chamber mail is going to my Spam or Junk folder:
Because of the mass-mailing nature of the membership, many e-mail clients may interpret Chamber mail as "junk or spam" messages. You can add the @sparkschamber.org domain to your safe-senders list or add us as a trusted source. This should prevent chamber messages from being directed to your spam or junk folder. Every e-mail client is different so you may have to refer to the help section of your email software or contact your network administrator.
I need to update or change my E-mail address:
If Chamber e-mail is going to the wrong e-mail address, or if you have moved or changed addresses, we would be happy to update you in our database. Please contact us right away! Call us at 358-1976 or e-mail: info@sparkschamber.org and let us know your updated e-mail address.
